While on the trail today my Check Engine light came on, not as a result of any particular instance that I could tell. I stopped at Autozone to have them read the code, which they said means I need to take the Disco for a service. I've had a nose about the Internet and found the following explanation; P1313 - Misfire Catalyst Damage Fault Bank A WTF? Can anyone translate this into normal English? My Disco is a '97 4.0 Any help appreciated, I would hate to have to resort to taking it to a dealer. |

You can look up the translation on the internet. Just type in 'OBD Fault Codes.' Some of the websites have translations. Davis |

Not sure how much this will help, but it has been talked about on another board. Here is some of the info that has been passed around. http://www.motorcars-ltd.com/ubb/Forum16/HTML/000133.html |

Thanks Joey, I found the same link last night. A good read but a little worrying. I think I'll start with new plugs & leads. Next step O2 sensors if it continues, after that I don't want to think about right now. |
