Hey guys - I am about to install a set of Hella 4000s but am not sure which configuration to use for the wiring harness. There are a number of options as to how to wire up the lights depending on which beams may be in use. I have a set of cornering lights. It seems to me that the main beam configuration seems most reasonable. Any suggestions? Thanks. Jay |

Jason, Check out the tech section under lighting. http://www.discoweb.org/lights If that is not detail enough, there are 150 threads in the archives from the last 365 days. Tons of great info are hidden in there. Paul |

Thanks guys - The Susquehanna site was very useful. I had checked the archives and tech section out as you suggested Paul, but it actually seemed to complicate the situation since I am using the Hella wiring harness. The harness seems very straightforward but there are a number of different ways to configure the switch and I wasn't sure which would be the best arrangement. I figure I will wire them into the high beams as that seems most useful. Jay

Jason, You should wire the lights into the beam pattern that you would normally use them. I have my roof rack lights wired into the Parking Light and others prefer low beam. See what I mean. I used the Hella harnesses with mine and I diked the yellow wire because I do not have the city light function. |
