i am going to purchase 3" green benders over the summer, and was curious about what else to save up and purchase....the rover is my main car and i can't put the springs and shocks on and then let it sit because i am waiting for a part because something rubs, vibrates, or whatever.....so please let me know, also anyone who has done 3" of lift to a saggin' rover.....let me know i figure things like brake lines and sway bar extensions, please list everything and all |

I have over 2000 miles on my 2" lift, I tow a 2500 lbs trailer and load the truck for camping, no sagging. The still perform good. I don't think I am getting full articulation - as opposed to OME or the originals (if the originals were 2" longer) But have not been able to prove that yet on a ramp. No complaints, but be ready for a little more noise because the stiffer, thicker springs allow for more road noise and resonance to come up into the cabin. Not a problem though. Oh, also, make sure you get a set of EXTERIOR type spring compressors to do the install. The type that goes down the middle of the spring does not work. And disconnect your sway bars, and WD-40 ALL the nuts and bolts for a few days before. Other than that it is a pretty easy swap out. http://landrover.mrbaileyshistory.net |

You can leave the sway bars off forever if you'd prefer. I took mine off and it still corners better than it did with the OEM shocks and springs with the sways on. It will give you more articulation too. You won't have any problems with rubbing unless you got to larger tires (see other posts / FAQ for more info). I haven't had to do any driveline mods to accomodate the 3" lift and my Disco doesn't have any weird vibes or shakes. I have 6000 miles and six months on mine now and they show no signs of sagging. The extra stiffness does seem to make it a bit easier to get cross-axled, but this is certainly not a scientific observation. With anything, there are tradeoffs...sometimes the extra stiffness comes in handy. |

You can fit 3.5 inch springs without compressors if you try. Stiffer = less sway. |
