We went last year for Mother's Day weekend. As we were there for only a Day and a half we only stayed in the area of the falls. Definiately do the Maid of the Mist, the journey behind the falls is pretty cool if you don't mind tight spaces.

Take a drive up to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a pretty little community on the south shore of Lake Ontario. Only about 25 miles. From there, you can look across the lake and see the CN Tower in Toronto.

hmmmm

last time i've been there, canadian side was jammed with tourists, with no place to sit and rest. the u.s. side, however, has a nice park nearby. the falls are bigger on canadian side, but the u.s. falls are beautiful.

Visit both sides. The American falls are much smaller, but you can get right up next to them. The Canadian side is more crowded, but there's a great park that runs the length of the falls area. If you're looking for stuff other than the falls check out Fort Niagara (on the American side) - it's a great tour.

...so the lesson is don't drive your Disco to Niagra Falls or the engine will blow up??

That sort of came out of left field Phillip. :-)
