I've just recently bought a second-hand trailer that has a 7 pin socket. It is much larger than the 7 pin male connection that is found on the discovery. I am now having some trouble with the wiring. I've found which wires are the turn signals and taillights but nothing else. I've tried reading the tech section on discoweb but the articles are on 5 pin connnections. Help! |

Thanks for replying Pete. I'm in Canada, so the trailer I bought is a N. American one. I believe the socket on the Discovery is UK. |

A standard 7 way bargman has the reverse lights in the center. Looking at the tow vehicle socket, the left contact (9 oclock) is left turn. The right contact (3 oclock) is right turn. The top two are running and battery charge. The one marked black will be the battery charge. The two bottom ones are trailer brakes (marked blue) and ground (marked white). |
