What in the heck a Rear Coupler?........

Author Message   Robert Kendall (Krob81) Member Username: Krob81 Post Number: 32 Registered: 01-2003 Posted on Tuesday, July 08, 2003 - 09:06 pm:    I just dropped my 97 Disco off at the Mechanic to have the braking system (abs, pads, calipers) checked out. I was hearing a thunk/"CLud" sound whenever I applied the brakes.... He called me and said that the rear coupler needed to be replaced. What is it? What does it do?
