rover

Finished putting on the 285/75/16's last night... They do fit, but just BARELY... They rub a little when turning on the stock (uncut) bumper... I'm sure they would rub like hell on the trail.

I'll work on trimming the front bumper this weekend. The lift goes on friday!

Justin, watch the rear edge of the door it is very sharp and will cut your tires with too much flex,

Thanks for the advice Jim. I hope that won't be an issue after the 3" lift!

I will watch out for that edge on my way through Moab on the way to work tomorrow ;)

If you have articulation, your tires will be chewed up unless you trim a good amount. What kind of lift?

Not to appear to be a nancy-boy.......but, it's hard to believe that 7" wide rims will safely accept such a wide tire as the 285. Thats a little over 11" wide on 7"...

Watch the hard cornering...

He's got a D2, 8" rims. That tire should work okay on an 8" rim.

Guys, he got the tires and rims from me, which I ran for almost a year with 3" lift. No trimming (other than the front bumper) will be needed. He'll be fine with that combo.

Looks good Justin.

It'll be a 3" OME HD lift... Not too worried about articulation as I won't go too crazy on the offroading (sways still connected)... Trying not to tear this one up!

I bet you'll eventually want to test out that articulation.
