Damaged D2 Heated Windscreen

Does anyone know if the glass shops can repair a D2 heated windshield? BUT, it was more of a situation where the two sheets of glass delaminated than glass loss, so that may have made it better. their warning to me was that the element in that area might not warm anymore. but, at least it is easier to see through.   David Seger (Croakus) New Member Username: Croakus Post Number: 24 Registered: 06-2003 Posted on Thursday, July 10, 2003 - 04:58 pm:    It's not a crack per say. It's a perfectly round pop in the glass. I'll take it down to the glass doctor and see what they say. It should'nt be that much. Check with your insurance. A lot of times they cover the cost of it so they don't have to replace the windshield.   T. I know most of the time insurance will cover small bb gun type cracks without charging towards your deductable if you have comprehensive coverage.
