While replacing my valve lifter (tappet), and push rods on the left side of my (�97 3.9L 133k miles), I discover hair line cracks on the engine block, but also a small crack inside the valve lifter housing (cylinder). The one, which I suspected was causing my top end taping noise. (taping only when engine warm up). I was considering having the block welded since the cracks a very small, but what can I do (if any thing) to fill the crack in side the lifter hosing (i.e. filler, liner sleeve etc.). |

dude, that sucks....maybe Kyle or Matt or someone may have a better idea, but you might as well start looking for a motor. mike w |
