I aqm going to install my new set of OME HD spring and shocks this weekend. Any tips or tricks to make the job go faster. What is the most common problem people run into when doing this type of work.

thanks

Rusty nuts....start with the wd 40 today and be generous....and have a spare set of wheels just in case you need to run out for that one vital piece you forgot

Brad,

Have you read the tech article on springs and shocks? D-web Tech Article

I might be mistaken but I think there is one on the EE site as well.

neighbors dropping in to see why you are "ruining a perfectly good luxury vehicle."

beyond that, make sure you have plenty of time. i can't think of anything other than chris' observation and that a rushed job is not a good job.

good luck to you.

if you do it in a garage, make sure the disco can make it out after the lift. i almost didn't make it out of a friends shop after a 3" RTE install w/235/85-16's if you have larger tires, you could always air down to creep out.

The only thing to be aware of is the nuts on the retainers up front - soak them w/ PBlaster or something, or just get a new ring and nuts.

With basic handtools and a good bottle jack, it's an easy job.
