I saw this jeep running aroung town and I had to check out their web site. The elctrical conduit snorkle is truly magnificent. The site says the tusks will soon be availible in glow in the dark finish.

The first time some one falls on one of those and gets hurt, we won't have to worry about seeing them any more.

Just what I want, something so I can get hurt even more easily while wheelin'.

They will sell a ton of those. At the bottom of the screen they even mention the H2.

Looks like it would work great!

(Great at getting hung up on every little tree branch while in reverse!)

Just had a semi-practical thought. They could be used to anchor limb-risers.

I could be wrong, but I think they made the auto manufactures tone down fins and bumper bullets back in the 60's because of the damage they could do to pedistrains.

John, you have a good point. On a thread back awhile, someone also made the point that it would be a good idea to remove the limb risers when not off-road for the very same reason.

I know I'd hate to see a severed head come flying at me when it would be much less traumatic to see the same head just bounce gently off of my windscreen still attached to the body.

Just so I'll be informed, are you commenting on plywood flooring on someone's racks?

LOL. it's just a threat for the time. i have something better planned though. might require us to make a new rack for it.

for the record in the past on the Dsico the Plywood was the prefect floor. the damn truck was so tall you couldn't see up there anyway.

Latest issue of FHM (Bikini Special Issue) - What does the Jeep ad mean when it says, "How many 4x4's can say they've helped save the world... twice?"

Are they referring to the 2nd war or another Lara Croft adventure that I'm unaware of?

Kinda not so smart sometimes, so if I missed something in this ad or the first movie, please take it easy on me.

Haven't seen the ad so I'm guessing it would be WWII for the first time, the second time might be the new TR movie.

Jeeps also did work in Korea and Viet Nam, if either of those count as saving the world. At least they were there trying to save the world.

I'll give 'em WWII... hell, we wouldn't have Land Rover without those good ol' 80"ers.

I think some, like those who still think Land Rover is made by Range Rover, might assume Lara has always driven a Jeep. Personally, I hope the Rubicon is extremely successful, and that Ford will realize there is a market for a "well"-conceived, more capable 4wd than what is on offer now. We all know that we're a very small, narrow segment of the PAG market, but so is Aston Martin. How many DB7's sold last year - Vanquish? Perhaps, Special Vehicles might put their label on a limited run of Defender trucks that comply to the U.S. market using Ford parts to satisfy the missing / below-DOT standards like airbags etcetera? Seems like the path has been chosen, and that things have gone way beyond retrofits / kit-bashing with that 2005 model that might make its way here.

Watching this customizing show on Discovery last night American Chopper bolstered my hopes that enough enthusiasts might exist to keep PAG from letting Rover go completely the way of the Exploder.

I'm not holding my breath for the "Return of the Defender", but one can always dream...
