Monte, just remove the nut, cross-drill the bolts, and instal a 1/2" hitch pin. Voila! QD sway bars. |

Greg, Are you QD-ing the rear sway bar? Leaving it on? Removing it completely? |

Just take them off and leave them. There really isn't much of a difference on-road (at least there wasn't on mine-stock springs & shocks w/120K miles) |

the JKS sway bars for the TJ work pretty well too. I think 4wheelparts carries them. |

I am. The on-road difference is not noticable. The off road is SO much better! It is a really easy job. Why not do it and see if you like it. If not, you'll see how easy it would be to make a QD with basic parts from Home Depot. Try the rears first and drive it for a day or so. Then do the fronts. |

On the front, you drill both the top and bottom bolts. You can remove the front link completely and the sway bar will remain in place. For the rear, drill the lower bolts. Then, make a small "L" shaped bracket with a 1/2" hole in each leg. Bolt it to one of the rear bump stop retaining bolts. Then, you can simply pivot the rear sway bar up and out of the way, and attach one link to the above bracket to keep it out of harm's way. |

With sway bar disconnected, will OME shocks limit drop enough to prevent ABS/brake cable damage? -Barry |

Barry, I think you'll be fine, since the shocks will limit the travel. |

I have the first batch of the OME shocks that were a tad longer than the current ones and I still have about 1.5-2" left on the brake/abs lines at full flex. |
