Does anyone know if the slimline roof rack that came on the XD is still available from Rover. I'm talking about the one that sits much lower that can actually fit in many garages. Anyone know? |

Check with www.thatchedroofgarage.com You'll have to remove your crossbars and you can't use your sunroofs. |

I have an XD, I'm trying to replace the existing rack with a new one. Thanks though John. I was hoping I could get the Genuine Land Rover rack, I didn't see it on that site. |

Saftey Devices is a company in the UK that makes the racks for Land Rover. They built the roll cages and racks for the Camel Trophy trucks too. I believe, though I may be wrong, that only Thatched Roof Garage and maybe www.roversnorth.com carry them in the US. They are one and the same as the Geniune LR rack, but you should be able to save a few bucks buying them from those two places rather than the dealer. You can also try www.roverconnection.com, but I don't know if they carry the lower profile rack. Also, note you'll have to call Thatched roof as I didn't see the lower rack on their website. If you want, do a google search for Saftey Devices, find thier website and compare your low rack with theirs! |
