I have a friend that's looking at an '89 Rangie. Would it be a viscous box or the LT230?

Borg-Warner 13-61-004 2 speed transfer case with viscous coupling unit (VCU) first installed in 1989.

Greg,

have your friend also check out:

http://www.lrfaq.org/RR/FAQ.RR.RangeRoverC_US.html#1989

it provides a bunch of info on the '89 MY and where I have found most of the useful general data on RRs.

'89 got the 3.9 and BWTC. Unfortunately it still has the CU EFI system and dash pod.
