Is there a way to program your keyless entry yourself?

Vivian, those instructions on this website are for the 94 & 95 model year remotes. Your owners manual should have instructions for resynchronizing the remote. If you don't have an owners manual, my 96's owners manual states to press the lock button four times within range of the vehicle.

Vivian, if you have a Discovery Series II (1999-2003) you cannot progam it yourself.

If you have a 2 button remote, your dealer needs to program it. I think from 96 on is dealer only.
