Does the Borla system provide any extra power to the D2 V-8? Its expensive and I know it doesn't help at all off-road but I think it would kinda cool to have. What are your opinions? (No, I don't think of it as a bling bling thing)

hmmm.... search archives. cut off your resonator and get a flowmaster and the local exhaust shop to put it in and you save money for other mods

Not really, if you are interested in getting a wonderful sounding exhaust note, get the Borla catback exhaust. I don't know how Borla does it, but they have some of the best sounding exhaust systems i've ever heard in my life. Borla's are generally very high quality systems, and even more important, they are made of aircraft grade T304 stainless which is heavy duty steel that simply does not corrode very quickly. A borla system made of T304 will be around long after you've passed from this earth and have become food for worms. Borla systems also usually look good as well with nearly any vehicle they are installed on. If you don't mind spending the money, I would highly recommend the Borla system. I have had Borla catback exhaust systems on 3 of my previous vehicles, and have been absolutely happy with every one of them. I was considering doing a Borla exhaust for my 03 Disco, but I bought it to offroad with and the exhaust system on these 03 Disco's appear to be pretty well balanced.

They do sound good, my cuz and I put one on his Toyota Tundra and it sounds great. But am I not sure if the VROOOMM factor goes well with a LR. The LR is not a pickup with a huge 8 in. lift and big V-8. (By the way my cuz crushes me off-road and he has no lockers, just lift and 37in tires, but whats funny is where he goes and I can go as well, just with more care)
