I would like to get some Dreadnought sliders, unfortunatly they are only available locally in So Cal. If I am not able to order a set and they are still available, would someone be willing to pick them up and send them to me. lol I realize this is alot to ask, I would be more than willing to pay for your efforts.

Thanks

What is wrong with the dreadnought sliders? They seem to be as good as any out there. And they look good also

Nothing is wrong with the Dreadnoughts. They really do kick ass. The are of stout, sound design and look great.

Kyle Tressle is just a bitter little man who has some sort of resentment toward John.

Never mind the Dreadnoughts? No, instead pay no mind to Kyle Tressle.

Well, I have the RTE slider with the nerf. I like the slider, and so far it has not been bent, although if I did it again and could get them, I would have bought the Dreadnought slider.

Nothing against RTE in this decision, as I just happen to like the design and look of the Dreadnought slider. I think the finish looks a little better and may last longer. And, I think it is probably wise to not have the nerf bar like mine do.

I have had my sliders on for almost a year, and I have some pretty good rust spots starting to develop. They still seem to be very stout, and very well secured. However, I think that a good solid blow on the end of that nerf, and there goes my truck sill, not to mention that you may not be able to open your doors afterwards. :-)

So, I would say that from my limited knowledge of the dreadnought slider, it looks like a pretty good product to me.

In case you're wondering who "Kyle Tressle" is, it's D. Chapman aka Daniel Chapman. Daniel was banned from DiscoWeb on 07/14/03 so he re-registered under a different username and password, just like that other loser Peter Carey. So typical of the losers. Take DiscoWeb out of their lives and they can't survive. If history truly repeats itself, then Daniel Chapman will soon be frequenting the Pirate Board and talking shit about DiscoWeb and how the people on DiscoWeb are losers. All of the DiscoWeb dropouts do that as well.

Brian, get the SG sliders. The Dreadnoughts are not for you.

MAY I give a thumbs up to the AB slider for a those who can't appreciate the added cost of the dreadnought slider. i feel the AB is second best, better than SG.

Oh shit, it's D. Chapman?

Never mind my original post.

D is obviously still upset that everyone made fun of his stupid ugly-ass bumper.

I just installed Dreadnoughts. Even though slightly short (1/2 ") for my vehicle I think they look great (match curve of body) and have a superior finish than other sliders. I'm sure in a year or so they won't look as good though... :-(

I've already designed mine based on the following:

1. 3" round tubing with an inner welded guide so as to bump into the cabin should they need it
2. Mounted directly to the 2 outriggers
3. high-lift jacking points f/r

Raw material has cost me <80$, and they should be done at 200$ WITH powdercoating, so that it cool. Will post pics when done.

They are 1/2 an inch too short to match wheel well lines for my '89 RRC. They are a perfect fit for DII's larger wheel openings.

cause that would be awesome for me because i wanted fender flares and i think that would give me just enough room to match them up just right.

Eric,
Try Red Rock Rover's, I hear they are really nice and built well. They are made like the Drednoughts but cost about $500.

Brian,
Nice of you to say that...I guess I have learnt from experience. Next on the list after the sliders is a rear bumper/winch (RE or M8274), internal cage with tire mount, internal fuel tank, and some other fiddles.
Those of you who want to slap on some flares (i.e. the Rangies Spares/ECR ones), make sure NOT to order ANY sliders before, as the span from tip to tip decreased 40cm, so wait til after you install the flares for the sliders.
Good Luck to all
