Peter, I put 255-85-16 and have to get gears, axles and lockers next. I have Hd spring with a 1" spacers and a 2" body lift. With off-set rims I love the set-up. Going on incline on the freeways, I'm in 3rd gear and sometime 2nd. A few thousands later I'll be proper. Think about rovertym links and minor triming. Goodluck! |

if you are going to do lockers, you might as well do gears...if you are going to do gears, you might as well do lockers. you see where i am going with this...;) when you take one out, the whole thing comes out. so it is easy to do it all in one go (and a waste of time to do it at different times). axels would depend on different things...if you are rock crawling, you will put A LOT of extra torque on the axels with bigger tires and lockers and it is just a matter of time before you snap an axel. if you are doing fire service or mining roads, then you will not stress axels as much and maybe it will not be as immediate of an issue. but...you should know that when you upgrade one thing, you stress another. just remember that *much* bigger tires and lockers *will* stress your axels. so be aware... cost? i don't know...check the resources section for links above... |
