Does anyone happen to know the offset in millimeters that Discovery I's have. I have one and am looking for some aftermarket wheels, and I cannot find this information anywhere. Thanks for the help. The wheels I am looking at have 13mm offset, will they work? |

Brandon, the choice of aftermarket wheels with 5 on 6.5 bolt pattern is so limited that you don't have to know much about them. FWIW... Unique makes steel wheels for rovers, and it has about 1/2" positive offset (tires 1/2" farther away from the centerline of the vehicle). American Racing (apparently) restarted production of steel wheels with rover bolt pattern, and they match exactly the dimensions of stock wheels (please correct me if I'm wrong here). I have a set of AR wheels (not for disco) and Unique wheels, and the latter seem to use thicker metal. I've bent AR rims but barely scratched Unique. However... this little extra offset makes for much more tire rubbing. You have to either lift more or move the rear quarters out a bit. |
