I replaced my Goodyears with a set of Cooper Discoverer ST's a couple weeks ago and boy is it a huge difference. The question I have is would it be best to rotate the spare into my tire rotation I do every 4k or should I just keep it as a spare? I'm concerned that if I just use it as a spare in a couple years when I replace my tires it won't be worth a crap do to rot and I'll just have to replace it anyways? Am I correct in thinking this? Should I just put it into the tire rotation and maybe prolong buying new tires when the time comes by a couple months or should I just keep it a spare? Thanks |

rotate it in. i think you will really like those ST's. quiet, ride nice and wear well too with proper inflation. and not to mention better than decent off road. |

I also always wondered about the whole tire rotatio issue. land Rover recommends that you NOT rotate the tires, but no reason is given. So I never rotated my tires. I have a pair of 97 discos that I owned since new. They came with Michelin XPCs. Great tires, I got about 80,000 miles out of them before I changed them. I located XPCs at tirerack.com and bought 6, since I had the original brand new spares. I just used the best of the old tires as spares. I've had the tires on for about 6 months now, and have not had any ill effect from the spares from 97.
