Well I finally received and installed my Mean Green alternator (MG1372) last night. Was drop shipped directly from Mean Green and comes with simplistic directions and pictures and the recommendation of a 25mm x 2315mm serp belt. The alternator itself bolted right up to the stock mounting bracket and the electrical connected just as stock did as well. The big issue that people have had is finding the correct belt. I was able to get one of my local parts guys to source it and I was able to get a 25mm x 2315mm belt. It is a Gates Micro-V belt - part # K070905. Hopefully this will help someone else looking at a Mean Green.

Can you not use the pulley off the stock LR alternator and keep the stock serpentine belt?

was thinking of that, but the new alternator puts out 200amps over the 100amp of a stock. With a smaller pulley was afraid it would go even faster and higher and do god knows what. honestly, that is what my non-engineering/non-electrical brain thought. please correct me if i'm wrong, cause i would love to use the stock belt as it would ease in any replacement belt if i wasn't around with the new part number.

200 amps at 12ish volts is 2400 watts of power being transmitted through that pulley. They might require a bigger pulley just to get enough grip on the belt.
