 Did a compression test last night. All readings sre between 170-190, which, I believe, is good. This means it more than likely is not bad valves. What else should I try?

 Make sure your plug wires are well seated and they they are good.

 Run some techron fuel system cleaner for a couple of tanks of gas.  Maybe the injectors are dirty.
 
 Another possibility is the distributor cap/rotor if you have an early disco.
