I have noticed that there is a rattle that comes out from under the passenger side of the truck. It comes and goes when the truck is throttled in drive and neutral. Tonite I was able to figure out that the 4 metal 'pipes' running along the underside of the body were vibrating with acceleration. These pipes lead to a metal box near the rear of the passenger compartment under the truck. This box also makes the rattle noise (pump sound?) on its own every 15 or so seconds if the truck is left in neutral. Is this part of the braking system? The ABS pump? And is this cyclical noise normal? Also, has anyone else noticed that they rattle when the truck is given some gas? Thanks. There is a pic below of the part I am talking about.  Jay | ||

They look like gas lines, loose bracket possibly. | ||

do you have ACE on your truck? kind of looks like the air lines and pump for that (course i've never seen one in real-life, so not 100%) | ||

Ya - I have ACE on the truck. Not sure what they are and I can't seem to find any info on the Rave disc about them (but then again I am not sure what section to look under). Jay | ||

Bingo - thanks Robbie. Have to take it in to get looked at. Can't seem to figure out where the rattle starts. Appreciate the help. Jay |
