I have a 96 disco w/ 92,000 on the clock. When leaving a stop very slowly it occasionally seems like it slips or hesitates and then engages with a little harsh jump/clunk. It seems to do this more when the AC is on. The disco l also does this when I stomp on the gas. I had a new tranns put in a year ago, I took it back to them last week and they said that they can't find anything wrong with it. I guess maybe it is not the tranns but something in the driveline. Any thoughts would be great! It also does the clunk clunk kickdown while coming to a stop is this related? |

Jay, If you find out let me know. My rovers doing the same thing. Also when i kick the gas and have to let off (b/c some asshole pulls out in front of me) it seems to kick out of gear. Any similar relation w/ your Disco? |

I think there's been a post on this within the last, say, 90-120 days? I didn't find it in a cursory look around though, and I don't recall what the specifics were. I think it's a fairly common malady (not the a/c part, but the jump/clunk or what I might describe as a lurch). |

Garrett, My rover does the same thing. Some days it will do it all the time other days just a few. Today I tried to get it do to it on the way to work, but no luck.I was hoping it was something with the trans since it was just done and has a warranty, but no luck. Let me know if you find anything. Seems like there is some slack in the driveline? |
