Not sure what sound you are looking for, i recently replaced my exhaust with a Flowmaster, and couldn't be more pleased. Flowmaster was $90.00 if i am not mistaken, i put mine on myself but most places charge $20.00 or so to weld it on. If you leave the resinator on it isn't loud at all, but does make it sound beefy. I removed my resinator but left the cat converter on and I think it sounds great. I've had several Rover owners in the area compliment me about it, and several others have got it. It's definately NOT obnoxiously loud in any way. Not sure how much meineke charges for a replacement exhaust, but i just thought i'd share a positive experience with the Flowmaster

well, i need more than a muffler i believe. if your muffler was $90 then i'm sure a base one will be cheap. i imagine i need the whole setup though.

I'm positive you can find one cheaper, but for the sound, and compliments i've gotten, i really enjoy it. What year is your Disco?

Damien
It should be about a grand for a complete system. My question is what size should I go to and not loose torc (sp?). Is 3 inch to big? Max

I recently had a new system installed in my RRC-including 2 new high-flow cats, Y-piece, center ball-joint, magnaflow muffler, blue streak rear resonator, stock-style mounts and stock size 2 1/4 tubing throughout cost was $550. Sound is fairly quiet but deeper tone than stock.

Looks similiar to NRP system but I went with mild steel rather than stainless as I've lost a couple rear resonators over the years...
