I've done a search but I've come up with very little helpful information. I have a 95 disco with the 3.9L. I also have a brand new alternator for a 96-99. The 96 has a smaller pulley. Can I put the larger pulley from my 95 alt on the 96 alt and run it without any problems?

i can't be sure on this issue, but i believe the altenator speed determines power output, so changing the pulley mey change the idle power, maybe it would be easier to change the belt size.

Swap the pulleys over and you'll be fine.
