I've done a search but I've come up with very little helpful information. I have a 95 disco with the 3.9L. I also have a brand new alternator for a 96-99. The 96 has a smaller pulley. Can I put the larger pulley from my 95 alt on the 96 alt and run it without any problems? |

i can't be sure on this issue, but i believe the altenator speed determines power output, so changing the pulley mey change the idle power, maybe it would be easier to change the belt size. mike w |

Swap the pulleys over and you'll be fine. |
