If anyone has seen Bad Boys II they will notice the appearance of several Land Rovers in the part where our heroes goto Cuba. There are 2 Forward Controls and there is a major chase scene that includes an old LR as well. Just a heads up. I am sure you guys wouldn't miss it.

I just saw Die Another Day on pay-per-veiw yesterday and noticed alot of Land Rovers in that movie from Defenders to new Rangies. I was pissed off though, in the credits they gave a special thanks to Range Rover not Land Rover. I hate it when people get that wrong, and in a BOND movie no less.

Eric if you watch that movie and look at all the cars, they are all Ford products. They have Fords, Rovers, Volvos, and oh yea Aston Martin.

Yeah...I can't stand it when people look at my Disco II and go "Hey thats a nice Range Rover you got there". I just smile and nod while grumbling to myself.

Yeah I just saw bad boys II and it kicked ass. It got way better when I saw the old rovers though. I hated to see that 109 have to go up against the pos H2. That was embarrassing land rover. BTW, I have no problem when people mistake my 98' disco for a $75k range rover.

Saw Bad Boys II yestersday... pretty cool movie... definitely one of the biggest car carnage in one single movie that I've seen. Yup, the 109 and the H2 chase was pretty cool.

One thing I've noticed though is -- was that a Luminox watch Will Smith was wearing while he was driving the H2? It certainly looked like a 3001. Definitely an action packed movie, very gorry (sp?) at times but cool.

Not sure if it was posted awhile back but in "The Italian Job" there are two very nice 110's in the scene where Ed Norton crosses the rest of the group, takes their cash, and launches them into the water-followed up with a very handy demonstration of a folding-stock AK.
I had to point out the sweet Defenders to the people with me, they were all suitably impressed of course.

And the movie Dog Soldiers, great film. It is set in Ireland I believe has some pretty nice Rovers, I am not sure which model exatly but they look to be 109s. Too bad they blow them up and the Dog Soldiers eat people in them. :-(

No land rover movie discussion is complete without a reference to "The Gods must be Crazy"

The gods must be crazy is about a bushman in the Kalahari that finds a bottle and tries to get rid of it. There is an series one, named "Antichrist", that is featured prominately.

I watched Bad Boys (the origninal one) and I thought I saw an older series rover. My friends wouldn't rewind. I need new friends.

Yeah, I am pretty sure there is a series Rover in the original Bad Boys, but it has been a while since I have seen it.

So someone actually also saw that movie?! Are you kidding me that was the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. Well it was funny since we just made fun of it over and over. Don't you think it would have been funny if they would have played "who let the dogs out" in the credits? :-) Back to my hole.

What's sad, I caught it coming on again on Sci-Fi months after seeing it the first time, and actually watched it again, just to see the Rovers again....

They actually played that on TV?! Wow. But everyone should go out and rent that movie! For a good jolly laugh.

I've seen that it's been on SciFi a half dozen times, tho' I've only watched it twice. I think they're the ones that made it.

I dunno, yeah it's got 2 Series 109" Rovers, and I think Emma Cleasby's cute, but I don't know that I'd recommend renting it... just catch it on Sci-Fi.... I enjoyed it, but, I've a daft sense of humour....

Hmmm.... Ah! here ya go.... http://www.scifi.com/onair/scifipictures/dogsoldiers/

I'm with Ray Gerber-best movie out recently is "The Italian Job" and I had to point out the bad guys' D110's to my wife as well (and the folding AK with black plastic furniture too :-)) Of course the prepped new Mini Coopers (including one "S" model) and also original Mini Cooper driven by Charlize Theron stole the show...

BTW-the bushman who starred in "The Gods must be Crazy" passed away not long ago. Heard it on NPR.
