I just saw an ad for the Rodeo, part of which features this guy saying he'd take on any SUV with his. A RODEO. Granted, it might outwheel, say, a CRV...but any SUV? No way! Made me laugh...until I thought of people buying it "because it's just as good as anything else out there." |

I just saw a Nissan Frontier pickup truck commercial. Man, they really messed it up. It showed the thing sliding sideways on some rocks in the dark with sound bytes from "Full Metal Jacket". On top of that, the whole truck was moving a lot. The rear bed was shaking independently from the body as was the front bumper. IMO, thats not too solid. Yea, them boys need to take those trucks out and see what they can go. Max T. I like all of those trucks for on road, but when the going gets tough I break out the REAL 4WD |

Max - the bed of a pick-up is designed to flex independently of the cab in order to take the stresses of heavy load. ANY pick-up will have that happen. however, if you noticed, the front bumper was doing the same thing, thtai would agree does not give and image of a solidly built truck. SUV commercials just prove that the auto industry really thinks most consumers are complete idiots. |

There are two tough vehicles in the world- Tonka's and Rover's. (Unfortunately, neither are what they used to be. |
