Hello All-
Had my 2000 SE7 for about a month, 38K miles, love it so far..

But, I could swear sometimes it looks like the right front looks lower than the rest, slight leaning? I've put a level on the bumper..

Could be me driveway, only place I ever really notice it. I could be hallucinating.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've seen some Jeeps that kind of have that perma-lean look to them. Wasn't sure if this was common on D2's, if it was is there a fix?

Thanks for any advice, experience, input...

My '95 D1 did this from new. Maybe Land Rover's intention was to set things up so the truck would be level when someone was in the driver's seat. Listen to me defend that company - I'm so codependent...

Measure the springs. Check against the measurements in the tech section.

Measure from the center of the wheel to the top of the fender lip. Your measurements should be the same for each side. There may be slight differences front to rear. Leaning on a Disco is very common. If it bothers you, put on new springs. It's not really a safety problem.

Thanks,
Mike B.

On the Disco I's, the springs were set up to compensate for the weight of a 200lb driver. I don't think this was done on the DII's as well, but I could be wrong. FWIW...

I just replaced my springs with heavy duty old man emu springs.

I have a 95 DI, and the front left spring was 1 1/2 inch taller than the front right. Explain that to me :-)

Now with the new springs it sits perfectly level.

Visit the EE site. John and Ho have a good write up regarding sagging springs. They sell their springs matched.
