I am soon to purchase a new set of spark plug wires, as I recently finished instaling new plugs while the old ones' gap was 5x that of the factory specified.

In searching for a new set I found that there are a variety of sizes and prices...

I would like to know which plug wires you have found to be the best? Does it REALLY matter which set one purchases? My local autoparts stores do not seem to have them available, so where did you purchase yours... All replies will help me do it right and economically.

Don't get the ones from Atlantic British. They were cheap and the insulation cracked in less than 3 months (granted, this is in Florida). I have had great luck with the stock ones and with the Magnacore ones.

Thanks,
Mike B.

As of last week, when I ordered a set, Magnecore was selling through Rover Connection, including the Magnecore Land Rover discount.

I have used them before, and they work.

Ryan talk with Clark at regent street, he has good prices on the bosch wires. I have the magnecores now and I am not impressed. They cost lots more and don't really do anything for you. No one has ever gotten better mileage or more power from spark plug wires. To make a another issue against the magnacore wires, they don't fit in the factory wire mounts, so you either get new wire guides or let the wires hang, also I am very disappointed in the fit they provide on the plugs and the distributer cap. ( I have a 95 d1 with the obd I 3.9L). In my opinion you'll be better off using the stock wires, which I plan on putting back on when my magnecores get little older.

Magnecore- thumbsup! Used it in race applications, forced induction and now the Disco. Great quality.

P.S. -
If you really want Magnacores, contact RoverConnection, he's in Midvale and you can pick them up directly.

Bosch Premium. Work fine. They fit in the guides. Does Magnacore sell 8mm guides?

Try ACCEL 8.8mm they seem to run fine on my 98 D1. You can get them at Kragen.

Chuck up an 8mm bit in your PorterCable drill and port out the plastic wire looms. Worked for me.

Buy the Magnecor's, do the install right and you won't be sorry.

Before you buy any "performance" wires from your local auto parts store, read this:
