I just had to remove all of my D-Web stickers because they were faded so badly you could hardly read them. They have been on since July of last year. Did anyone else have this problem, or did I just get a bad batch?
I am not looking for freebies...I have more...I was just wondering.

it's designed that way so you have to keep replaceing them.

i find that window wash at the gas station really eats em up.

Some of my stickers are starting to fade too - and my rover has only been living outside of my garage for just a few weeks.

I wonder if coating them with something like RainX mixed with sunscreen would help? :-)

Jamie I have found that often rainX eats all color right off stickers. I would say, that might not be the way to go

you are lucky jason. ther eis an epidemic her er on the east coast with people putting "OBX" stickers on thier ford explore adn minivans.

i day dream while in traffic about making an IhateOBX.com website. where i have a car mounted camera that i can take pictures of all the stickers i see. it's easily one a day. goto the mall you'll count ten on hte walk in.

it's so unoriginal ,,, eh..

shame of it is the place is a nice beach.

OBX sticker VS. Pissing kid sticker (west coast affliction) a la: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33641&item=242 4991466

I'd rather see the OBX stick... no matter how pretentious...

man yall got shitty stickers. I havent had any trouble with mine. I put rain X on em too. And that little OBX whatever style sticker trend is getting pretty dam old especially when you have to see millions of them everyday.

I see a lot of those stickers here in Jersey and I'm hundreds of miles away from that beach. And Rob's observation is right, you usually see them on yuppy cars in malls and starbucks parking lots.

I liked the original EE decals better myself. I even had the big ones on my doors till they faded from car washes.

P.S. That Calvin picture closely resembles this guy from AZ who post here on dweb

LOL :-)

Just refreshed my DWeb stickers (front bumper, rear gate, roofline) tonight after my DWeb package arrive -- mine were REALLY bad!

Maybe an oval "DW" sticker is in the works? :-)

I really think the 4' OBX stickers that take up the entire damn rear window are just swell. I love the beach and all but outside of the hood blackout, there is not really anything I would slap a 4' sticker on my truck of, including my own damn websites let alone a beach. LOL

We are considering a new Dweb sticker at some point. I'm not sure what the deal is with the current ones, some of them fade, and some of them don't. So to be safe, the actual sticker packages that go out always contain a lot more stickers than what the store says they do, so that you have enough to replace them if one does fade. Mine has been on the truck for a couple of years now, I have to replace the big ones, but that is more because they have had so many branches dragged across them by now, not because they are fading that bad.

My stickers look pretty darn good for being 6 mo. old. But thats probably due to the vehicle their on :-)

The best part about D-web stickers are all the people who think you can dance.

It come down to what ink they use when printing.
Most if not all solvent & water base ink will fade unless they put a uv protective lamination over it(if exposed to the sun)
What they should be using is UV ink they are much less likely to fade. most of the time they will not fade but I have seen some that have. Pending on the ink Mfg.
there could be other reasons. they are putting down a very thin layer of ink on the material making it translucent and since the material is white the uv rays will bounce off of the material attacking the ink from the top and the bottom.

Matt from what I see with your pic. I assume that is a cell phone. Since that would not be exposed to the sun as much as a sticker on your Rover I would say that you just wore away all of the ink.
Without seeing it in person that would be my guess.
