Hi all... new owner of 96 here. I've heard of course of the notorious reticence of LR dealers to do various warranty repairs as a glut of problems crept up on LR vehicles. That said, for anyone who has a 96 or other out-of-warranty Disco, have you ever been able to get TSB repairs done without charge or do you always expect to just treat it like any other repair and shell out already? (I've got a good LR-specific shop to go to but they are not a dealer. No known TSB issues at this time, but just wondering.) Thanks. |

Ron is correct but sometimes you can get lucky. The rear door on my D1 started peeling paint on the bottom edge. Turns out the spacer between the aluminum skin and the steel inner had failed, causing galvanic corrosion which was eating the door from the inside out. I'm out of warranty, but the local dealer went to bat and got LR Canada to offer me a free door, but I have to install it. |
