I recently went to a locksmith to get some keys made for my ignition and doors. The keys didn't work just right so the locksmith went out and started messing with the door lock turning the key back and forth, back and forth. I told him he may not want to do that because it might set the alarm off because of the electrical contacts in the lock. As he was saying "Naw, it won't do that..." the alarm went off. Now I have the light in my dash blinking non-stop even if the alarm is on or not, and even when I'm driving. How do I reset this thing? I don't have a remote so only options are with the key. And does anyone know if you can program the remotes (one button on a 96) without going to the dealership? |

If you turn the key in the lock, or push the remote button more than 5 times in a row, it sets the alarm off. I think you have to put the key in the lock and turn and hold it to reset the alarm. Not sure about the remote. My 96 has a 2 button and i know it is dealer program only... |
