Because I was hit, I need a bumper now. I had decided on the TJM T15, but the whole country is out of stock until september. I don't think I could live that long without the Disco. (Not to mention a little issue of getting to work and back.)

So I need something now, asap, today. ARB's are in stock, as are the original, stock bumper. So, I'd like to get your opinions on whether I should go with the ARB (airbag model) or just put another stock bumper on.

And yes, I'd love a RoverTym, but that's three weeks too, and I haven't even figured out what winch I would want eventually.

I just did the same thing and my insurance settlement covered the price of my ARB Bumper and install. I love the looks/functionality and would reccomend its fit/finish. Its up to you, but the ARB unit is quite nice but not perfect for everyone.

My wife hit a deer with her disco some time ago and damaged the bumper. Land Rover wanted something close to $800 for the bumper. So I gave her the bumper off my disco, and bought an ARB for mine. It was way cheaper than the L/R bumper, and more functional.

However, if I had to do it over, I would have gotten the model that is made for a winch. At the time, I didn't think I was going to like playing in the mud as much as I do. And I also thought winches were about $1,100 since I was only exposed to AB's high prices.

Yeah. Better just to the ARB. There are better choices, but considering your pinch - just do it.

Dude, You know what you want, so just drive around with it the way it is for the time being. It is only 3 weeks out of the life of your truck. Get the copany that you order the TJM or RTE from to fax you an order confirmation and carry it around in the glovy, in the event that you get stoped you have proof that you are waiting for the part.

You will be happier in the long run
