Whenever my roof is open, in either position it rattles. Even on small bumps. I can't tell if anything is lose. The back roof does not rattle at all. Anyone can tell me what causes this?? |

Not sure what causes it, but I know it is very common, if not universal. Mine does the same thing.I have read many posts about rattling, and not a word about how to fix it. |

First, thing you may want to check are the four torques screws that hold the glass in place. Make sure that they are tight. Second, when you have it open after checking/tightening the screws, push up on the glass and watch the rails (your checking to see if the guides are tight and that the little washer is still in the guide and on the window frame. If all is tight and looks good, then it normally would be refered to as personnality. |

Your local LR dealer stocks the Rails which the glass slides on. The procedure to change the rails is fairly simple, though dropping the headliner is the hardest part. After replacing the rails, the rattles will dissapear.

Sean, My DII is at the dealer right now for this exact problem. The problem is the rails, which they are replacing. I was told it is more common in the front sunroof than the rear. Fortunately for me it's still under warranty.

Mine is underwarrenty and they told me if would be $300 a sunroof to fix. Screw that I am not going to spend $600 on them, a waste IMHO. |
