What a month it has been. Two weeks ago I am in Houston. My wife calls and tells me that coolant is all over the drive way. She gets it to the local repair shop and they can do nothing. It is 8 am. She has it towed to Flying Circus in Durham. It is 9:00 am. Despite a complete schedule, they take her car in, replace much of the cooling system, and by 5:00 she is on her way home. They stay until 9:00 pm to make up the schedule.

A week later I am driving my 1960 series II. This car has been my daily driver for the past 6 years, and I put between 75 and 100 miles on it daily. Traveling home it just quit. It is 5:30 and Flying Circus is closed. I try the phone call any way and for 25 minutes Toby Briggs, the owner, leads me through a series of trouble shooting steps to find the problem.

In the end it seems to be the timing chain. When I suggest having it sent to their shop for repair he informs me that he thinks it is something I can fix myself. This has been a consistent theme since I started taking my car to him. If he thinks I can repair it he helps me with parts and instructions and away I go. Because of vacation I leave it with them. For seven years I have been taking my cars to them, I have never been let down.

right on. I have thought about taking my truck to them, this is always reassuring to hear postive feedback about service shops that arent the dealer..

My truck was maintained by flying circus prior to my purchase of the truck. They did an excellent pre-buying inspection for me and were totally fair and honest.

It was briefly. It only resided there for 3 months with the second owner. Never understood why he bought it and then sold it. Prior to that, it had spent it's entire existance in AZ, specifically Phoenix.
