We have the old messages. Unfortunately the message indexes in the backup from the other server corrupted this board when we tried to reload them. So, the 2001 messages will be added outside of the BBS as a separate archive. That will have to be a manual process, and it will take some time. We didn't want to keep DiscoWeb off line for another couple of weeks while we work on that, so we brought it up without the archives for now.
There are other improvements being planned, as well.

The userprofiles from the old board were moved over, though.

Lester, no need to buy multiple Moab videos. We are going to have some new videos later this year, so if you already have the Moab video, just hold out for the next one.
We appreciate the thought, though.

I almost got the greatest pic...but ran out of film. My fiance owns a jeep with a "Land Rover Recovery Team" sticker on it...this past weekend we hit a trail in Leesburg, VA, where he got stuck in deep gooey sticky watery mud pool just a little bigger around than the size of his jeep and in the background was my disco 1, still stock, not stuck on the trail behind. I wish I could've gotten a pic of his jeep with the sticker in plain view with me pulling him out. Pretty funny stuff.

now in keeping with the times and with the return of our beloved D-Web, we should take a moment and reflect on how we treat our fellow off-roaders. i am saying that we should be kind to those who drive J**Ps and Xterras, they make up a very important part of our off road ecological enviroment. like the slugs that eat on the leaves of plants, J**Ps are important, even like that of the dung beetle so are xterras and broncos. not all 4X4s developed at the same rate or even equally. all off road vehicles are related, similiar to the development of man. we came from dust and evolved from the chimps, well not everyone develop, we still have monkeys, therefore it is scientificly proven that all off road vehicles are related and we should be kind to those vehicles that due to, well, the luck of birth are from a poor gene pool, a lessor spieces of off road cars should be pitied. you wouldnt make fun of people in trailer parks, then why must we make fun of what they drive. again in the spirit of good will and kindness, extend a kind hand the next time you see one of the SUB species of off road vehicles. be nice, play nice and put a smile on those monkey's face.

Joanna,

Was the trail you were on out in Leesburg, an official trail, or private property or anything? I am in Vienna, VA and have been looking for anything closer than going to GW Natl Forest. Please let me know! Thanks!

okay, i gotta chime in for once on the whole Jeep thing. i own a '93 YJ (wrangler for those of you outside the know) and a '97 Disco. i LOVE my Jeep. don't get me wrong, the Disco is growing on me (only had it about 1.5 months), but if you've never owned a Jeep, you just don't understand. ;) Joanna, after you pulled the wayward Jeep out of the hole, did you drive through it? i'm not trying to start something, i'm just sick of seeing a bashing of a vehicle i love dearly. they had it right until the Liberty (ugh). as lond as it's all solid axels, there's serious potential. ;) oh yeah, Joanna, i'd love to know where in Leesburg you were too. my parents live in Centreville, so i may be able to hit that trail the next time i'm up.

If you go to www.mudhunters.com/mdtrails.htm you will see a link for Leesburg, VA. It gives you directions. It's not big, but it's muddy...very very muddy. Check it out.
