I just got an ARB winch bull bar but I have no installation instructions. Is there anyone out there who has them in a format that can be emailed to me? I have no parts either. Not sure what I need for the install. Also, do I need to get reinforced springs? I read some of the archives, but I was left a little confused about that one. Thanks, Kelly [email protected] |

There are instructions in the tech section. You may need new springs. Measure your ride height before putting on the bumper, and then after. You can be the judge if you are sagging enough to validate the money for new springs. |

I emailed ARB, but to no avail. I'll try calling too. I checked the tech section, but never could really find anything exact. I'll check again. Thanks guys. Kelly |

Kelly: First part to get is a friend or two to help out. A shop jack comes in handy to for lifting the bumper into position. Bolts use only Grade 8 bolts 5 or 5.5 inch - dang I forget the diameter. Don't forget the copper anti sieze grease on the bolt threads It really is as simple as removing the old and bolting up the new. |

Oh, thanks for the size on the bolts. I don't have any of the parts except the bumper. It was free, so I wasn't complaining that the hardware wasn't there. It's in really good condition too. Saved me $800.00. Can't beat that. I've got two buddies helping me out, and the use of a garage. So we should be in good shape for the install. I'm just not sure what all hardware is used. Thanks for the tip on the copper anti sieze grease. Didn't think of that. Kelly |

Kelly - you'll need six (6) 1/2 grade 5 or grade 8 bolts - 6" long work fine. Also washers lockwashers and nuts to go with them. In addition you'll need to fab two (2) rectangular washers out of some 1/4" thk plate to go in the rearmost mounting hole on the outside of each frame rail. Do not tighten those rearmost botls too much or you'll crush the frame as it is not sleeved in that spot as the front bolt holes are. Other than that - you'll just reuse the headlamp washers, check valve and lines from your stock bumper. Bill |
