I have these switches hanging out (can't fit flush due to heater box blocking in back). I went to a custom speaker joint and asked if he could make this for me. He does some beautiful installs and was trying to talk me into DVD player, LCDs, full-blinged out... However, if he can first he out with this, I'll be happy. Any thoughts, suggestions, pix, etc. are appreciated!
(I hope you can make it out...had to shrink pic quite a bit)

You tried to stick them where the sticker was...and cut three times before measuring...owww....

Suggestion: REMOVE the center console and take a good look see if you can mount them on the flat part of the console. Then cover up the hole with say a Discoweb sticker

Not sure if you have a sunroof (think you do based on light in cabin) if not, the spot where the switches go is a great one for the ARB.

I think the switches are Cole Hersee product. There maybe a plinth to mount them in and save the holes (and your pride!). Try West Marine or similar....or email Cole Hersee

I mounted mine where the ashtray "was" located. I used the ashtray cover and some re-engineering of the space behind it. I am very proud, looks just like they are from factory. Took me an entire day and a new dremmel tool to get it right. I can get a pic if you like.

Eric

P.S. where did you locate your compressor?

A picture would be worth a lot here but I'll do my best... I have front and rear lockers. My switches are mounted to a tab that drops down under the clock. It looks pretty clean. 95-disco

A friend has them mounted on the same plate as the window controls. I like this look better. Very clean looking.

I made a panel out of ABS plastic, painted black (several coats and sanding!) and mounted the switches...looks great, and very useful for future add-ons (Hella light switches, bling neon, etc.!)
I have front/rear sunroofs and homelink up top - would have been a great place for them.

I thought about using these:

$40...They match up perfectly with the ARB switches. Great instructions for proper installation, too (which I sort of followed).

Thanks for suggestions...I will post a pic later today. It's nice to finally have a home for the switches, as they were hanging out for some time!

P.S. The compressor is mounted on driver side, in the rear cubby bin. I have placed a piece of insulated blanket onto the cubby bin panel for "thermal" and electric protection.
