Ok, so I'm bored as hell, I figure I'd start a new thread. Was wondering what kinda music all you guys were into. Myself, I'm into Texas country music, mainly Pat Green and Cory Morrow. Also listen to some hip hop from time to time just to hear my new subs I just got installed kick out the bass.

I listen to a variety - mainly pop, alternative, rock, and some classical. I put 900 songs on my iPod mp3 player so I have my collection wherever I go! It's only halfway full too!

pat green eh. have not heard him mentioned around very much. similar stuff here: steve earle, wilco, son volt, whiskeytown, golden smog, robert earl keen, pete yorn, chris knight, bella fleck and the flecktones, ryan adams, jack johnson, southern culture on the skids, johnny cash, old 97's, the jayhawks, blue rodeo, etc. just to name a few. :-)
i just hate that freaking pop country shit. it's just brittany spears with a twang, bad hair and even worse clothes.

BW,

The iPod is the bomb! I mean, mines not even half full and I've dumped all of my CD's into it as well as some song purchases from the web.

I can't tell you how nice it is not to have to create mix CD's and/or carry tons of your CD's on road trips anymore!

It's small and so damn convenient. Now they've got a 30gig version that can hold close to 7500 songs of average length. Unbelievable if you ask me...

Of course, I'm a musician so music is VERY important to me.

You won't be disappointed.

Kenny, I agree that the iPod is the best portable music hard drive device. But if you'd like to get much more storage for a lesser price buy an Archos.
http://www.archos.com/products/fam_mp3_music.html?sid=j22o2c2yby3ofy2bc42cky

I have had one for about 2 years now, a 6gb one, and I can use it at home, car, and even while running. Just don't buy from the Archos web site, they are too overpriced. Do a web search.

I have a 20gig Archos, USB 2.0.. I love it. use it for a backup hard drive.. easy to navigate and nicely priced.. but it doesnt look as nice as the iPod.

Gp- Sounds like we're into the same stuff. In the past year I've seen the Jayhawks twice, Wilco, and hopefully I'll catch the Rhett Miller show saturday night here in DC. I have quite a few good Jayhawks boots if you're interested in a B&P. Other stuff I'm into- Richard Thompson, Lucinda Williams, Kelly Willis, Burch and Bennett, Peter Bruntnell, Old 97s, Beatles, Radio Head, The Band, Neil Young, Sparklehorse, Cracker,XTC.......
