I am a Land Rover tech. who does a lot of electrical diagnostic work. I find it useful to make special break out link harnesses for individual components of various electrical systems. My latest desire is to make such a harness for ABS wheel speed sensors. What I need is the connector for both the component and the matching connector from the vehicle electrical harness. Its easy to get the component connector from a defective part. The only way I can think of to get the connectors from vehicle harnesses is to visit a wrecking yard. The problem is that they want to sell you the entire harness at about one half new cost, which can still be very pricey.

Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?

Have you tried SPX? They make the kits for Ford and now LR. If you work at a dealer it should be somewhere in your parts department in a green case with a phone # on the inside. I have called them a few times to get connector hard shells.
