I was doing an electrical test on my 95. According to the RAVE manual there should be an amplifier unit on the distributor and it should be a Lucas system. I found a Bosch coil and no amplifier on the distributor. Is this the factory set up?

Howzit JVelocet...I saw your post earlier this morning and was wating for someone to give you some info on your question.
I don't know if the setup you have is factory or not, but I looked in my Haynes service and repair manual and it says in chapter 5 part B: Ignition system-petrol engines..........
"All models are fitted with the Lucas
constant Energy ignition system"..."The ignition system comprises eight spark plugs, nine HT leads, the distributor, amplifer unit, and an electronic ignition coil, together with it's associated wiring".
However, this manual is from Atlantic british and is not an original LR factory manual, but is a european verision from 1989 to 1998.
I have a '94 DI and it has Lucas.
Hopefully someone with a LR factory manual will try to answer your question, or call Atlantic-British and their people probably can answer your questions. (1-800-533-2210) I have found them to be very helpful and informative. Good Luck and Aloha, Louis

The amplifer (HEI Module) will be next to the coil on the front panel near the radiator. They stopped placing in Dizzy in that year I think.

Thanks Louis and Scott for your reply. I'll have a look near the coil and let you know. However, I've got bigger fish to fry, if you've seen my other post my Transfer case/CDL broke yesterday afternoon.
