I drove my 88 range rover with no problems at all yesterday today it starts but won't stay running. It runs for about 12 seconds then dies. If I try starting it immediately it won't start. If i let it sit for a few mins it starts right up and runs for another 12 seconds. It doesn't sputter or anything it just shuts off like I turned the key. For the 12 seconds it runs, it sounds good, revs just fine, drives great, it doesn't seem like there are any problems. It dies no matter what I do :reving, driving whatever. It also stays running for the same amount of time each time. What could this be? The fuel pump is brand new as well as the fuel filter. So is the Jacobs ignition system. It has fuel in it (rougly half tank) and like i said it ran great yesterday. PLS help...thanx |

Found the problem, it was an ignition issue caused by components of the Jacobs ignition system. |
