Hi all. I just drove a 95 Disco V8i Ive been looking at, It had a few lights on the inst. pannel, From what I can remember, There was a service engin soon on the left and right of the dash along with the ABS lit up, Ive been told it needs brakes so I figure one of the service and the ABS would be that?!? and its at 106000 miles so I also understand it needs its 52000 mile tune up? Also the trailer light next to the signal light blinks once when you signal, Is this common? Every thing else seems to run great, Took me a few tries to get the hi/low lever to work, I did so much better when at a slow roll. There seems to be a AC leak, The R134 was almost bone dry, It took a full can without even blinking, Are there any common spots to look for a leak or is it a crap shoot? All in all I think the Disco could be a great vehicle , It drove great, no noise out of the ordinary, I just need a bit more info to see if its worth the trouble. Thanks again for all the help Brian |

You say the Check engine on Left and the Servive Engine or the Right are on. The Check engine, you need to read the codes to find out what is wrong = check the Tech section on http://www.fourfold.org/LR_FAQ/RR/FAQ.Engines.Fault.Codes.html for help there. The Service Engine light is just the Emissions like that comes on every 52k just so you can go to the dealer = Check under Tech section again for http://www.discoweb.org/reset/index.htm If you are a back yard mechanic, the Brakes will not be a big issue, but if you are taking to the dealer, then I hope you have large pockets. If you had trouble going front to back with the Hi/Lo lever, as you said it works better when moving slowly. But also you need to check the side to side movement (i.e. CDL or Center Diff Lock) A/C can't help sorry. (I would just buy some of the R134 with sealant/Lubricant and hope for the best, but I do not know much about A/C. The ABS light could just be a sensor needs repositioned or a bad sensor. Well for that matter it could be alot of things. The Trailer indicator will always come on one time while using the Turn Signals (this is normal). I would ask for a maintence history to make sure that they are not hiding any issues that you don't want to find out about a week later or 500 miles from home. |

Hi Joey. Thanks for the fault codes, It has a #45 on it saying the Lambda sensor B for the right bank....?HUH? now I need to figure out what that is! Does the LED only flash one number? or does it go through a few that may show up?, Dissregard that, I just read the whole thing from the link. Thanks again Brian |

Lambda sensor is brit-speak for oxygen sensor. At 106k, it's not too surprising that one is bad. - Axel
