Very Nice. Where do you plan to route power for the keg and tv?

Excellent! What time should we come over???? Seriously, that's a beaut of a tree house. I like how the house "hugs" the trees, like a tree hugger should!

Karen, tree hugger from way back :)

is that for you or the kids?

the kids Garrett, the kids. It started out as a small playhouse and things got out of hand, as they sometimes do. Should be finished in a couple of days. Drywall and lay some flooring down is all thats left. The Deck is 14' by 14' and sits about 12 feet off the ground.

Thanks Karen, those trees were not so Happy when I was driiling 'em for the hanging supports, but they seem to have accepted their fate.

JMcD, it beats the hell out of cutting them down! As for Monet, not in this group. Now, if you hung a pic of a nekkid girl crawling on the hood of John Lee's Milk Truck....

Karen ;)

LOL! That would, in fact, be art...

That is fantastic, JMcD! ... Brings back fond memories ... there's just nothing like a good tree house ... Ours were very crude (Dad wouldn't build us one) ... we just climed the limbs, and made make-shift boxes and boards to hold our stuff; i.e. Barbie dolls, (and torture devices for insects that got near them) along with stashes of fruit, rocks, etc., to bomb the neighbor boys that tried to invade, LOL ... We always imaninged that kind of treehouse ... Great job, you're *the bomb* of the dads! :)

As for the artwork of a nekkid girl crouching like a frog on John Lee's milk truck, it would, after all, have to have the caption of "Get the hell off my hood!" Poor John :) ... what he has to put up with, LOL

Thanks Kim:) When I was a kid my brothers and I had a similiar crude treehouse until faulty construction techniques(ie: old wood, bent nails) sent the four of us for a ten foot drop, teaching us a valuable lesson about gravity! Ouch! That was the first time I ever had the wind knocked out of me.

Anyway, my daughters wanted to build one so we started planning and this is what we ended up with. I must admit it is a little bit of being a good Dad and a little bit of, "wish I was kid again." Nothing wrong with that though.

As for the Art debate, if my girls rooms are any indication, I anticipate seeing even more Mary Kate and Ashley posters, at least until the Brittany Spears phase kicks in.
No Monet, But I do like the nekkid Girl idea, crouching on the hood of green 96 Disco. Will ask my Wife when she wakes up.

Monet, Ha! Get some real art by Th. Kittelsen, the famous norwegian artist known for his nature and fairy tale paintings. Of course I am partial, because he was my grandfathers uncle, but his paintings are displayed in the national gallery in Oslo, so he must have had some talent.

When my great grandmother was pregnant with my grandfather, she had already had 7 girls. Uncle Theodor drew a schetch of a naked baby boy (anatomically correct) laying on a silver platter, and sent it to her room so she would know what a boy is supposed to look like. A few days later, my grandfather was born... :)

that's some very interesting artwork there Axel...very interesting indeed. I like it.

Nice treehouse, too. Back in grad school, my buddy & I spent 12 hours up his tree once. We had lashed up carpet seats and rigged beer holders, we had Bob Marley up there with us on the portable CD player, a pulley sytem with a milk crate to haul up supplies, and the cordless phone so we could order pizza at midnight - dropped down the milkcrate with cash and up came the pizza. It was great until Carlito passed out and fell from his perch.
