Mine's at 79k and they wanted $600 for all fluids and plugs. Trans fluid and filter, oil and filter, new fluid in both diffs and gear box, radiator flush, brake fluid and filter, power steering flush and fluid, new plugs, and air filter.

I didn't have the tools or time to do all that, so I had them do it. Lotsa money though!

Thanks Kenny -
Did they check and replace any of the belts - re-do tracking etc or was that extra ?

I have been doing mine a little at a time as time weather permits. Radiator flush & fill done at 62k when I replaced the blown front cover gasket, plugs fuel filter and battery done at 64k after sitting for 3 days at -30 degrees in january and freezing up, all the bottom end fluids, new serp belt and air cleaner done at 71k 4 weeks ago, flush & fill of brake system within the month as weather permits.

Total cost to date is about 300.00 including the battery, serpentine belt , air filter, brake fluid, and about 6 hours of my time, discounting the 10 hour experience of the front cover gasket while lieing in the cold mud in november in my yard.

Factor in 20 minutes and 20 dollars every 3k for an oil& filter change and the maintenance cost and time is no better or worse that any other rig you would work on. Considering what is actually involved in doing the work and the tools and time and knowledge needed to do it, 600.00 is not a price I would be willing to pay for the same work at a shop.

Last July work done on a 97 D1 48 month or 96,000km.

To have every thing done per manual was estimated to be over a $1,2k cdn. I only allowed them to change the Trans fluid and filter/screen, fwd & aft diff fluid, brake fluid. Once done every four years is worth the price. The condition of the tran fluid was very dirty, long over do! that's why I went for the filter/ screen change also. They also installed an emision cleaner $45.60 (where it went I do not know)and gear oil treatment $44.67. Total bill came to $778. cdn. Includes 3.39 for washer fluid top up! They did say thy are a full service centre (To my bank account)not so.

No spark plugs changed, or air filter, or fuel filter, or oil & filter changed or antifreeze flushed.

Used Great Canadian oil change to do the rad flush & fill also oil & filter change $100.00 includes disposal fees. Just installed NGK BPR5EY plugs. Brakes are next on the to do list also tire replacement XPC have over 93km on them.
