Ive run OME, RTE and now I have Green Monsters 3" in the rear now and I like them. I've had them in for 4 or 5 wheeling trips now and i like the stiffness of them. We will see how they work in 6 months. I carry a lot of weight in the back and I wheel quite a bit. |

i have 3" OME in a DII...can't compare the two to each other, but i like my OME's...it seems i have heard that the DII will take 3 inches easier than the DI...maybe hearsay. since i have never owned a DI, i wil let the better informed of the board comment there... mike |

I put 3" Green Monsters w/ OME shocks all round into my '96. I removed my rear sway bar at the same time and have been completely satisfied with the on-road manners. As to off-road, it has completely changed the character of the truck. I can drive through what I used to scrape through and the approach/departure angle improvements made a meaningful difference. Just do it! |

Shawn what all did you have to do for the 3 inch springs besides the sprigs and shocks? |

I just switched from OME HD springs to SG stage II springs. I did not like the harsh ride I was getting with the OME springs and I wanted more travel. I am very pleased with my decision. The SG springs provide a more supple ride on all surfaces and have considerably more flex. |

What is the web site for the green monster springs? I found RTE and OME but did not know OME made a 3" spring. |

OME does not make a 3 inch spring. You have to use a rear MD spring up front and a 1 inch spacer in the rear. Check out EE for more info. |

Any comments on an average cost to go 2" front and rear - doing the work yourself? Kenny |

I've used OME and Green Monsters. The Monsters are pretty new, and we will have to see about longevity, but they are MUCH nicer than the OME's. I've noticed better ride and better load handling. |

Mark, did you need any additional upgrades to add your Green Monsters? i.e. extended shocks, brakes lines? I'm considering the 3 in. |

Rob, I fabricated an extension bracket for the brake & abs lines on the rear axle. I'm looking at extended stainless brake lines for the front, but haven't done it yet. BTW, I'm using OME N73 front shocks & N46 rears. |

i dont know if the fittings are the same for a DI, but i just bought some ABS extensions for my DII from a guy named dave lucas. they arrived today and i have not installed them yet, but he tells me that they are made by the same company in germany that builds the ABS system. plug and play... i like that better than trying to splice longer ABS wires... mike |

I've had tons of stuff done by Dave Lucas (slickrock fab). Rear bumper, sliders, spacers and my new armor plating, amongst other things. |
