Hi all, While pulling into my garage the other day, I heard a noise that sounded like a continuous chirp or squealing noise. I can hear the noise while only in gear, but when in park and nuetral, it goes away. Browsing another topic on the board, someone mentions t-case bearing. Could this be the source of the noise? Disco is a 95. thanks |

When my u-joints went south they made a grinding noise as I slowly moved forward/backward. Wes, is this noise heard while you are moving or just sitting still in gear? Also, does this happen only in reverse? Another possibly stupid question is are your sure it's not your S-belt?

thanks for the responses, the noise actually comes out after driving around town, when first started or while cold, there is no noise. It can't be my S-belt since the noise comes out when in gear only. thanks. |
