Hey guys, I just purchased two Euro Beams and two cornering beams, but I am not very skilled with electrics, and the wiring is proving to be Greek to me. I searched on this, but I couldn't find anything that helpful, so I was wondering if anyone could break down the wiring process for my simple-minded self? Any help would be much appreciated. |

It depends how you want them to work. If you want to have them go on with the brights: From the relay, connect the green wire the comes out of the Hella switch to a wire that is only on when the brights are on. The Red wire goes to a constant hot source, like the positive terminal on the battery. The Brown wire goes to ground. The 2 blue wires go to each of the 2 lights. The Brown wire from the light goes to ground and the yellow wire from the light is only used if your Hellas have the city lights in them. Wiring like this will have the lights go on when you flip the brights on if you have the switch in the on position. If you want to have them go on with only the Hella switch: You can just connect the green wire from the relay to something that is constantly hot, or wherever you connected the red wire. Matt |

Adam, That's a great combination, I have the same patterns. If you didn't know, you can replace the bulbs with 130 Watters instead of the 100's they come with (this is ok on the hella web site) Dean |

Hey Matt, that sounds pretty complicated for someone who is not very skilled in electronics. Everything is correct though. The only advice that I can give is that it is like a puzzle. Look at the diagram on the relay. Basically the relay is a switch that converts a low amperage circuit (the switch that turns the relay on) and a high amperage circuit (the 4 hella's) Some people will just run a common circuit with a 30A switch, but I would recommend against that. What Matt is saying is that you can use the green wire to turn on the relay. I would just use a switch to turn on the relay. Such as your fog lamp switch. If you are using two relays which you should you can T the wire into both relays since the relay doesn't draw anything. The only theory you need to know is that 1: The lights need to be grounded (directly to the battery is best, 2: The lights need to go the the load side of the relay 3: The relay must have 12V fused at no more than 30A (2 lights at 100 Watts use a 20A fuse, 2 lights at 130 watts use a 25A. 4: The relay must be grounded (again the battery is the best source) 5: The relay must have a switched power (like I said, use your fog lamp switch) The only problem using your fog lamp switch is that you can not use your high beams in conjunction with your Hella's. Believe me the Hella's will go over your high beams and you won't notice them anyway. It's really a simple process. The hardest part is making everything look neat. I posted a picture on a previous thread about rack lighting. You should check it out. Good luck. Steve Rupp |

adam I know in the tech section there is a a few write ups on the hella install. You should also check out susquehanna motorsports web site ( sit is located under resources, then vendors) he has a great write up that was easy to follow, and it was my first wireing job too Josh |
