that's pretty harsh, Blue, I don't think Brian's that cold-blooded.
You could say that about the whole site - which appeals to the rubbernecking types who can't take their eyes away from someone else's diasaster. However, there are some photos that do not carry so much of a personal tragedy, and are pretty funny -

I may have, too, by calling this site funny in the first place - which statement I'd be happy to retract. Still, Brian's comment's rather dumb than evil.

well, I think that pic of the 6-wheeled Deere buried up to the body is funny as hell. Same with the stuck boat, same with some drunk asshole who flips his Lamborghini at 160 mph.

Blue, Goodner probably is a chump with WAY too much time on his hands by the number of posts that he has with his three different log-ins but if he only looked at the posted jpeg, you would never know someone was killed in the accident. There is no text whatsoever attached to the picture.

But Ronnie come on, the front passengers would have been crushed. By looking at that picture how could one not think that. I don't think the people of the site really should show the pictures in which people died. Maybe it is just me, but it just does not seem very respectful, it is just sad I think.

Good point about the lack of text in that pic link.

Better point made by Chris:

OK Blue,

Why is a rolled Lamborghini "funny as hell" while a post indicating that a rolled Disco was an LSE gets "no, you f**king asshole, I think that the fact that a father and his 6 year old daughter died makes it even worse. F**king idiot. You need to have your teeth rammed down your throat" response?

Hypocrisy?

When I went to the link, there was NO indication of fatalities. I thought a personal threat was over the top, but your followup about the "funny as hell" Lambo rollover is too much. Or don't people kill their children in drunken rollovers in your state?

Blue seems angry this week. Time to pull Blue Lite out of the fridge...

Well, I don't really mean to argue with you Blue since you have some great information to share. I just think it is a bit harsh to call someone a fucking asshole for making what he considered was an inocent "joke". Without following more on the website you would never even know that there were people in the vehicle or how the accident happened and what were the results of it. Chris' comment was made after Goodners so he could not have read it before posting. Granted I have not seen Goodners other 3 posts, so am not 100% sure if he is worthy of this label or not.

I agree with you and Chris on whether they should post accidents like these, but there are many more sites on the web that are much, much worse than that one. This one is NBD.

Cheers, Brian

Shawn, you stupid fuck. You're just as lost here as you were in that Truetrac thread. In your little mind, people died in both examples so they're equally tragic. But both examples are not equally tragic. "[S]ome drunk asshole who flips his Lamborghini at 160 mph" isn't tragic. It's just desserts.

Get a brain.

Exactly, a drunk flipping a lambo and killing himself if just desserts. If he has a member of his family on board, then it is indeed tragic, but we term that "natural selection", albeit truly unfortunate for any innocents involved. But a father (or mother, can't tell from text) driving along with their 6 year old daughter, minding their own business, probably talking about what she did in school that day, then getting clipped & killed by some moron in another car is not humorous in the least. I drive the same vehicle with my daughter, and I avoid assholes who can't drive every damn day. Any of you could be in that same position, and I don't find it a damn bit funny. Innocent jokes sometimes get your teeth knocked out, fact of life. Joke around long enough and you'll find that out. There's your fucking Lite Blue.

I agree with Blue. I don't have many family members down here in NC but when I lived up north I was constantly carting around my younger siblings and I avoided those non-driving SOB's like the fucking Plauge.

And as far as some drunk fuck fliping his lambo at 160 thats just fucking funny (call me cold all you want thats just how I feel) only if he is the only one in the vehical.

But then you have to figure what of the guys family. I was on I-95 at 2:30 thursday morning and was stuck in traffic for 5.5 hours beacuse of a large accident that killed atleast 3 people; now thats three familys who don't have a wife or husband, a mother and a father etc...

And Shawn your a fucking idiot because if you would have fucking read most of this thread you would have seen the 14th post Kzack wrote " The father and 6 year old daughter were un fourtunaly killed." I know I am not the most intelligent guy on this site but if you would just read and think little you might avoid getting your face torn off by John Lee. But I must admit that smily is fucking cool.

This concludes my current Statment

You guys kill me...why on earth would you even have this debate? I mean the guy made a comment about a wrecked car...BIG DEAL...Yes it is tragic that people were killed in the wreck, but the guy prob dident even read the context included with the image...for all he knew a light pole fell on it while it was sitting there parked...maybe after studying the picture you could determine that it was a wreck but at a glance???..no And as far as everybody talking about kicking peoples asses and knocking out teeth???..come on we all know that the people who talk all the bull when they are in the comfort of their homes are the first ones to avoid confrontation, besides the fact that we are on an internet bbs board...get a life and lets use the board to learn something new about our trucks and help each other out....not waste Ho,s hard-drive space with pointless remarks about how you are gonna kick someones ass when we all know that it will never happen.....but hey if your ego/self-confidence is that low...go talk sh** somewhere else..

How could you not see that it was a wreck at a glance. There is no fallen light pole in any of the two pictures, The debate is based on the fact that two people died (Father and daughter) and Goodner has the ignorace to say that because it a disco HSE its worse.

And if the Bottom Dwelling fuck Shawn McKenzie would have do some research he would have found that on the site they mention exactly what happened.

This concluds my current statement

Bob,

The point is, I didn't do ANY research. I clicked on the given link, looked at the picture and closed it.

YOU had the morbid curiosity to go to the site to ogle more pictures of car wrecks.

Your officious closing remark is tainted by a loose grasp of spelling.

There is no shame in not spelling well.

Just type your message in Word and spell-check it first. That way people who can actually spell ALL the words they use won't think you are an ignorant boob.

While you're at it you might run the personal quote on your profile through the old spell checker too:

"I AM Bob Godshall: THE Man, THE Myth, The Ledgend"

Shawn,

First, why should I be worried about my spelling when I can just have someone such as yourself correct me later(it's amazing how little work the idiot actualy has to do) its not my fault I had an abused childhood.

And your right, the point is you didn't do any research all you had to do was read the fucking thread, or look at the fucking site, the point I was trying to make was to look things over before you start making wild accusations at the very least you could have read this very thread a little more thouroghly.

I thank you for your assistance

Blue calm the hell down, goodner probably didn't read the article seeing as how the picture was all that was posted did you ever stop to think that maybe he wasn't thinking about the death toll but more looking at the car involved and as far as the number of accounts goes that only because he kept getting suspended for nothin at all with no response for any of the d-web mods. just to clear things up, btw the disco in his profile was his own he wrecked not to long ago.

I for one would like to see less threats against each other, seems like it is ok for the lounge members to misbehave but the non-members get threatened with banishment. Blue made the following statement on a different thread.

"at a stoplight the other day I look down at the P.O.S.'s rim next to me. He had 11 mounting holes in his rim (5 original, 6 custom drilled to fit the hub), 6 studs poking through the 6 custom holes, 5 lug nuts of 3 different types. One was actually a frickin wing nut! I hung back and prayed that I would get to see his wheel fly off on the turn. But God must not love me.... "

Brian gets threatened for commenting on a car wreck by the same person that was hoping to see one?

Nah James,

There's a difference between idiots and people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. In todays world, a value is placed on life. A child before a mother, a citizen before a criminal, and people like those in that Disco over idiots like the fellow with those rims.

Ever read the Darwin awards? Ever laughed? They were idiots right?

My point is that the world is full of idiots, and they will continue to kill themselves. That's no big deal, it has always been the case, and always will be.

The situation begins to become dire when the people who try to live right, or are too young to have a say in things are killed.

So Blue is not a hypocrite, and I think he (being one of the more restrained members on this board) should get a bit more respect.

It's been said before: This place has been around a while, and was kept alive through shared passtimes and good people who wanted to contribute to a good cause. This board has grown such that the moderators need to share the moderation a bit to ensure it's survival. Don't forget they have opinions too, and they feel just as strongly about some things as you and I do. And they do actually own the board :-) .

Yeah, I have been wrong a few times without realizing it on this board (on some serious matters) and I have been bitched out about it, but I learned, and I think I was cool enough about it because as far as I remember I have never had my membership threatened.

You reap what you sow. If you can have an intelligent and calm argument (read: discussion), you won't have any problems. But this board has grown a little too much to allow frequent flexing of the fabled internet muscles. Such rediculous persuits breed only pissing matches, which get us all nowhere.

Most of us are not lawyers here, so c'mon, give me a break with the gathering of evidence business, try to rely on your knowladge of the subject matter in a discussion. And if you are going to throw an insult, make it entertaining, but give some respect to the people who have been here a while, they are very knowladgable, and may be the ones helping you out later.

Cheers,

Kennith
